When does Dr. Lamb refer patients to specialists?
The Clinic is equiped to diagnose many kinds of diseases and pathological conditions. On occasion, a pet is diagnosed with a condition best handled by a veterinarian Board Certified in a specialty. Some examples are opthamology, neurology, dermatology and surgery. Referrals are sometimes made to Emergency Clinics or Veterinary Teaching Facilities at Veterinary Colleges. When a patient requires 24 hour care, or the supervision of a specialist, we refer our clients to that facility. They maintain communication with us during the treatment period and we usually provide follow-up care when the pet goes home. |
